Fast-Tracked BIS Mark for a Growing PPE Brand
A Haryana-based manufacturer of surgical gowns, shoe covers and face masks needed BIS Mark to qualify for state government hospital supply contracts.
Om Sai Enterprises had scaled production rapidly during 2020–22 but lacked formal BIS Mark licences across SKUs. State tender eligibility (especially in Haryana, Rajasthan and Punjab) was being blocked.
Multiple SKUs (3-ply, N95-style, surgical gown SMS-30/40/50 GSM, shoe covers) — each mapping to a separate IS code and requiring distinct test reports. In-house lab needed equipment upgrades.
BMS performed IS-mapping for each SKU family, scoped a phased in-house lab upgrade, prepared all five applications in parallel, and coordinated five test cycles at a BIS-recognised lab.
All five BIS Mark licences granted within a 14-week window. Om Sai was reinstated on the Haryana state procurement panel within the same quarter.
